Updates on Invested Projects
On December 3, ESWIN announced. The Company has signed the ESWIN Wuhan Silicon Material Base Project Investment and Cooperation Agreement with Wuhan Optics Valley Semiconductor Industry Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Optics Valley Semiconductor Investment"), and the two parties will invest in and construct the Wuhan Silicon Material Base Project.This project mainly produces 12-inch silicon single crystal polished wafers and epitaxial wafers for advanced integrated circuit processes, suitable for fields such as logic chips, flash memory chips, dynamic random-access memory chips, image sensors, and display driver chips.
The announcement shows that the total investment of this project is approximately 12.5 billion yuan (with the final total project investment subject to the actual input), of which 8.5 billion yuan will come from capital, and the remaining approximately 4 billion yuan will be financed by the project company through bank loans and other means. After the project is completed, it will achieve a production capacity of over 500,000 units per month, and ESWIN will have a total production capacity of over 1.7 million units per month.
ESWIN stated that the company's cooperation with Optics Valley Semiconductor Investment to invest in the Wuhan project and expand its existing capacity is an important measure to implement its strategic plan. As Wuhan is a key hub for the national storage chip industry, the company's strategic layout of the Wuhan project will help serve customers in Central China while also reaching customers in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions, continuously consolidating the company's leading position in China, further enhancing its international competitiveness, and better serving global customers.
